RADIO Television Brunei (RTB) and GreenCity Concept are teaming up to produce the second season of Passport to Fame (P2F), Brunei's first locally-produced reality singing show.This year's P2F will have a fresh new look and concept as well as attractive prizes to be won. The revamped format is to attract more participation in the country. According to Wong Chin Toon of GreenCity Concepts and co-chairman of the P2F, the contest aims to discover, develop and promote new talents with authentic star quality, ultimately showcasing Brunei's hidden talents to the entertainment business internationally. Auditions for a spot in the contest will begin on June 27, 2008, in Kuala Belait, starting at 10 in the morning until 12 noon, and from 2 to 4 in the afternoon. While in Bandar Seri Begawan, the audition will be held on June 28 and 29 from 10am to 2pm at Muzakarah Hall, International Convention Centre, Berakas. The P2F contest is open to all citizens and permanent residents of Brunei Darussalam aged 16 to 30. According to RTB, the contest will be showcased on its channels every Saturday at 8pm, commencing on October 4, 2008. The finals will take place on December 22, 2008.Wong urged members of the public to not waste the opportunity to join in the contest as "P2F season two has a lot to offer". He claimed that participants will get the chance to develop not only their singing skills, but also teambuilding and leadership as well. "The results of the contest later, excluding audition and preliminary rounds, will be based on 70 per cent votes and 30 per cent decision by the judges, whereby the judges will be exclusively imported from neighbouring countries," he said. Attractive prizes that await the winners include a brand new Toyota Vios for the champion, while the first and second runners-up will bring home cash prizes of $2,000 and $1,000 respectively.
